Name:Ravenflight
Age:25 Moons
Rank:Deputy
Gender:Tom
Sexuality:Straight
Appearance:Lithe black tom with white socks and green eyes
Personality:Ravenflight is a mystery hidden in an enigma. He mastered the Poker Face moons ago, and never really removes it. The tom always keeps his emotions and thoughts to himself, unless a time comes for him to speak out. This does not mean that he had no thoughts however, no, indeed the gears in his mind are always whirling and clicking.
Ravenflight always makes decisions based on logic, as he has never had any reason to trust his heart. Because of this, he can sometimes be viewed as icy cold and without feelings of any kind. Even though this could not be farther from the truth, Ravenflight refrains from making public displays of emotion, and as such, can not prove these accusations inaccurate.
He is extremely loyal to his clan, even though he was not originally born into it. Driven and inspired by the stories of the old clans, his dream is to one day make Oakclan just as great as Thunderclan ever was.
Even though he does not really have any close friends in the clan, driven away by his emotionless personality, he cares for every one of them deeply and would die for any one of them without hesitation. He does have a soft spot for kits that he cannot hide, and will visit the nursery whenever he has spare time.
History:Ravenflight was born a loner from his mother Lilith, and his father Blacky, who was a kittypet with an unfortunate name. Due to his mother being a loner, he was born in the wild. This was mainly because Lilith had never loved Blacky, instead using him as a toy to relieve boredom; but when she discovered she was to have his kits, she killed the tom in anger then left. His mother had always been like that, very cruel and manipulative.
He was born in a litter of three, with one brother and one sister. Named Raven after his inky fur, his brother was Burn and sister declared Rain. Lilith did not want the kits at all, it is still a mystery why she even bothered naming them, since the next day she tried to kill them. It was new-leaf and the end of leafbare had just come. The snows were melting and the ice over the rivers was cracking and being carried away in large plates. Lilith saw it fit to dump her kits on one such ice plate, turn and trot away without a care in the world. At the very least she had placed the kits together, and the small scraps of fur had huddled for warmth and waited for death, for no other option seemed open to them.
It seemed that fate still had use for them, for it was an Oakclan patrol that eventually plucked them out of the flowing river, just as their melting ice place was about to give way. They were taken back to camp, far too weak to put up any protest, and given to a queen whose kits had been born in the middle of leafbare and not survived the cold. She happily took them in, and Rainkit, Burnkit and Ravenkit were born.
It seemed that karma caught up to Lilith, who was actually found by Ravenpaw and his mentor while out along the borders. She had been clobbered over the head by a baseball when strolling past a twoleg house. It seemed that two young twolegs had been playing a game and the ball had shot over the fence by mistake, Lilith had apparently been in the way. Ravenpaw had retained barely any memories of his mother, and one were pleasant, so he could not claim to be sad. Even so, he insisted upon burying her on the spot, and his mentor didn't put up a fight. Journeying home, he told his siblings, only Rainpaw grieved.
Soon enough after, the three were named warriors. All of them had settled easily into clan life, but the bond between the siblings had not weakened at all. Ravenpaw was named Ravenflight, Burnpaw was Burnsky and Rainpaw became Rainfeather. All three sat vigil together that night.
Life was peaceful for a time, until the old leader passed and Silverstar was named as the new leader. Rainfeather was chosen to accompany the new leader to gain her nine lives, much to the jealousy and worry of her two brothers, who wanted to go to be able to protect her. Of course they knew this was foolish, as being with their leader, no harm could come to Rainfeather. Even so, they worried.
The happy return of the new leader was overshadowed by the death of a warrior. It seemed they had been right to worry, as on he way back, Rainfeather and Silverstar had been attacked by a dog, whose master had been fishing off the lake. So Burnsky and Ravenflight lost their sister, the one thing they both had lived to protect. If anything, after the death the two brother's became closer together, but more distant from the clan. They still completed all set tasks, but were not as actively engaged in clan conversations or the sharing of tongues.
A few moons passed like this until Ravenflight discovered his love for kits and the nursery. Spending so much time with the younger felines allowed him to thus spend time with the queens, and slowly he began to talk a little more, becoming part of the clan and leaving Burnsky behind. It was around this time that the previous deputy died, and Ravenflight was named deputy in his place. He was extremely proud of his promotion, but feared what his brother would think. Luckily, Burnsky seemed nothing but happy for him, and in fact, it even gave the russet tom a little motivation to turn his own life around as well.
To this day, Ravenflight remains deputy, and Burnsky is finally beginning to open up to the clan again.
